Four years later

Well it has been 4 years since my last post in this. Reading all these old entries makes me feel like an old, washed up, jaded, piece of junk. Who the hell wrote all these? Where has the INNOCENCE gone?! Well shit is finally starting up again with the band, my life is getting back on track one day at a time and I will soon be back to the excited, wondrous Paul of years gone by.

fuck the world! ;)

Singapore!

Today was day two in Singapore. I really didn't want to leave home after being there only a few days, but now thats I'm here I am so happy. It's crazy to think how far we are from home, and how different looking it is here, but people are always the same. Tonight we headlined the Nike+ 10k Human Race. There were over a million people around the world who ran the race, and raised tons of money for a few different causes. We played to all the runners and their guests here in Singapore to end the night. Everyone of us was blown away that we have never been here before but had such a huge response. It felt surreal. Like something from Behind the Music, haha.
Anyways, we are off to the Philippines in a couple days, then flying back to US. I am going to chill with a new friend in LA, which I couldn't be more excited about; gonna party on the beach, get some sushi, relax. I hope I am not nocturnal the whole time haha (12 hours ahead of home right now). But I know it will be worth the trip.
After that I am home for two more weeks where I get to enjoy my house and my car and my friends. The rest of this year is going to be sweet; Bunch of time at home, quick college tour in October, writing and rehearsing for the new record in November, some holiday shows in December, then studio in January. All that constant touring has payed off, now we get to enjoy some time to relax and party with all our friends; hopefully drink a ton of bud light cans at my place and some Charles Rivers in the North End.

New

New everything. New home, in a New city.
I feel like I have a brand new start. It is the most refreshing feeling that I have ever encountered. I love my new home more than anything. Also, getting a new car has been a dream for the past couple years, that finally come true.
Me and Martin chilled all night and drank bud lights and had some awesome talks. Singapore tomorrow! 22 hour flight, layover in Moscow. Everything is fresh, and feels so good. I am chillin for 2 more weeks at home after this little trip. I love everyone that I have been spending time with and all the high def tv that has been watched. I have hung a ton with my bro, who I look up to more than anyone.
Possible trip to LA in the works for next week, which could only make life even more amazing then it already is (if thats possible) ;).

Ahhhhhh. This is so scattered and unorganized but sometimes thats the way it all comes out. Whatever happens, happens.
Time to get to sleep for this flight in the morning.
See everyone soon <3

BOSTON

Last night was the long awaited Tsongas Arena show at home for us. It was incredible. Saw tons of friends and family, played to 7,000 people, and got it all recorded for the DVD this fall. Couldn't ask for much more than that. But there is more. I have also been chillin in my new place. I spent all of yesterday and today working on getting it filled up and making it a home. It is 1:39am right now and I am sitting on my couch watching the olympics on my new 52" lcd on the wall. My brother and his friend Harlan drove up to help me pick out a tv and mount it and set up my living room. It took about 8 hours, and there is no way it could have been done without them. Best guys in the world. I don't know what I'd do without my brother. All I can say that life is good. I think I have said that in every blog I have written here, but that is a good problem to have.
Tomorrow we are heading back out to finish the tour for another week. Tomorrow is also the day Chris Garcia comes out on the road with us and gives me a new tat. We have talked back and forth about what I want, and the sketches look incredible. Let's leave it at that for now, pictures will be up tomorrow.
My eyes have been closing since 8pm. I'd love to sit around and blab some more, but a car will be waiting for me at 10 am. Need my rest. Love everyone.

P.S: Bigfoot is real ;)

Make A Wish and TRL

Yesterday we got picked up from NYC and drove to a town called Livingston, New Jersey. All we knew was that we were playing an acoustic Make A Wish Foundation show for a kid named Ian with a muscular disease. He turned out to be an awesome kid who was just a couple years younger than us, we had a great time. Martin and I played an acoustic show for about 50 crazy, rowdy kids that graduated this year. haha. Then we signed a hugh white wall with our album artwork painted on and met everyone there. It was a really refreshing feeling to be in an actual house with a bunch of people our age. The family was really nice, Ian was an awesome dude; it felt really good to be there.
Right now I am sitting in the green room at TRL studios. In about an hour and a half we will do an interview then play Thunder live. This is our third time being here and we have finally realized that it is only as stressful as you make it. Just chill and everything will be cool; thats pretty much my life motto, haha. BTW we get to hang out with the JoBros, they are hosting TRL today. Everyone is definitely jealous.

Update: TRL was really fun, we hung with the jobros, T.I, and some other cool people. I slept for 4 hours last night and am exhausted right now, but I’m sure we will have an awesome sold out show at the Roseland. Toronto and Montreal coming up then HOME. Sold out show at Tsongas arena, then day off so I can move into my place. I have never been more excited for anything in my life. I think I can honestly say that. I’ve been really positive lately, and stayed really happy. It helps when you meet someone else who shares your views; helps to reinforce the ideas in your head to know there are probably many other people who believe in what you believe in. Life is incredible, I would be ungrateful to complain about any part of it or write anything negative.

Can’t wait to get home and see all my friends. Talk to you all soon.

Cincinatti

Home in 1 week from today! Really excited about that. This week coming up we have a few shows,  an acoustic performance for the Make A Wish foundation, and on Tuesday we are going to be playing Thunder live on TRL. I'm glad there is a ton going on so it will go by quick. Metro are playing Shake It right now, kids really go insane for that song haha. I've been having a really awesome time on tour, met a bunch of cool people, played a ton of frisbee, wiffle ball and football, and been running everyday; which makes me feel about a thousand times better once I'm done.
Here's something crazy, we have an official Boys Like Girls item going on the Denny's menu in october. So if you happen to be wasted at 3 in the morning this fall go grab a "Great Eggsteak." Its pretty much a philly cheesesteak with egg in it. Good anytime of day. I ate 4 of them the day we whipped it up in the kitchen, its really great.
Well thats all for now.

Home Show!

Hey everyone, we are playing a show in Lowell at the Tsongas Arena on the 15th of this month. It's a friday night, and almost sold out so get tickets soon. The bands playing are The Maine, Metro Station, Good Charlotte, and us. Come by and give me a call because I want to see everybody.
I also just got a new place in Quincy that I am in the process of moving into, so after this tour is over later this month hopefully it will be ready people to come chill in; which would be sweet because it feels like years since I have been home and seen most of my friends.
